Meet Dr. Bob McClung, owner of the Animal Hospital of Tiffin, located at 2765 S. SR 100. The Animal Hospital is a private, family-owned veterinary practice founded in 1950 by Dr. Bob’s father. They offer all kinds of services for both large and small animals, including routine procedures, surgery, rehabilitation, grooming, boarding and much more. Dr. Bob is also very involved with the Seneca County Fair, just as his dad was before him.
Dr. Bob and his staff are doing some amazing things in the field of veterinary medicine. The Animal Hospital has been an American Animal Hospital accredited small animal hospital – the only one in Seneca County – for 11 years. Only 15% of small animal hospitals in the US and Canada share the distinction, which holds practices to rigorous standards. They also have the first laser surgery unit in the 419 area code and today they have the only low-wattage Erchonia laser in the state, which enables them to perform many unique procedures. Dr. Bob is also a pioneer in animal stem cell treatment and immuno therapy in Ohio. People travel from all of the state, and from neighboring states, to seek treatment for their pets at the Animal Hospital of Tiffin.
“It’s all about client care and the animals,” Dr. Bob said. “We really take care of them like our own. I truly handle this as a family practice.”
Dr. Bob will mark 40 years in veterinary care on June 15. “I enjoy what I do. I am a person who gets bored easily and there is something different everyday. I like the diversity.”
The Tiffin Animal Hospital is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
