Downtown Tiffin Summer Stroll

There are a lot of exciting events that happen in downtown Tiffin! The events below are annual events that SEIDC is involved in planning.


Downtown Walks & VIP EventsDowntown Tiffin Chocolate Walk logo

Looking for a fun way to explore downtown Tiffin? Four uniquely themed walks are held throughout the year;

  • Downtown Chocolate Walk, held the first Saturday in April
  • Summer Stroll, Saturday, July 21
  • Pumpkin Stroll, held the second Saturday in October
  • Cookie Walk in December following the Christmas Parade, December 1

For $15, your ticket allows you to visit participating locations and collect a unique treat related to the walk’s theme. There are typically 20-25 stops in the downtown area. Get a group of friends together and wear your walking shoes (shuttles are sometimes offered too)! Prior to each walk, a VIP event is held at varying downtown locations, depending on start time of walk, VIP events have been brunch or heavy hors’ devours. Ticket price varies depending on the menu, but is $35-$45 and includes your walk ticket. Read more


Trivia Nights/Third ThursdaysTrivia Night in Downtown Tiffin logo

Trivia Night in Downtown Tiffin is a collaboration between the SIEDC and the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library. Our goal is to bring people of our great community together for a fun-filled evening while supporting locally owned businesses. Locations vary, but have included, Viaduct Bar & Grill, Tiffin-Seneca Library, Phat Cakes, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and many more. During July & August, trivia will be held outside in City Lot 7, beginning at 7:00 as part of a special summer series.

Teams can register prior to the event by calling the library at 419-447-3751 or online at tiffinsenecalibrary.org. Registration often fills quickly! The night of the event, teams will write their answers and submit them to the judges during four rounds of general trivia. At the end of the night, the winning team gets to take home the traveling Trivia Night trophy!

Third Thursdays Summer SeriesTThird Thursday in Downtown Tiffin logo

Kicking-off this summer are themed evenings in downtown Tiffin – every third Thursday of each month! Each Thursday will have a theme and participating businesses and restaurants will have special hours and are encouraged to incorporate the theme through decorations, a special menu item, crafts, music and more! St. Paddy’s Day 5KTiffin St paddy's Day 5k logo

Chase the Leprechaun during the Annual St. Paddy’s Day 5k Run/Walk. The race starts at 10:00 am and yes, there is a speedy leprechaun in the race. The leprechaun starts after everyone else has begun, giving you a generous head start. Costumes are encouraged! Awards are given to the Top Ladd and Top Lass finishers. Proceeds to benefit Downtown Revitalization in Tiffin. Read more


Downtown Summit 

The Fourth Annual Downtown Summit took place on Wednesday, May 16 from 5:30-8:00 in Wickham Great Hall on Heidelberg University’s campus. The Downtown Summit, is a celebration of the successes of 2017 and updates about what’s happening in Downtown Tiffin in 2018! Annual awards were presented and there was an opportunity for community input.


Memorial Day Parade 

Sponsored by the United Veterans Council of Seneca County, the 2018 Memorial Day parade was held May 28 at 10:00 am. The parade started at St. Joseph church, traveled north on S. Washington St., across Veterans’ Bridge, and ended at Monument Square on Frost Parkway. Contact Jody O’Millian, 567-208-8247 or complete the application and release form.


Farmers MarketsFarmers Market logo

Experience the Seneca County Farmers Market in beautiful historic downtown Tiffin. The  Farmer’s Markets are sponsored by the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Services and are held on the second and fourth Saturdays, June – September. Customers can purchase home grown produce, home-made baked goods, honey, flowers and more. The market is open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and is located on S. Washington St., adjacent to the Courthouse.

Court Street Collections is a new event added in 2018. Court Street Collections, is a non-traditional market in conjunction with the farmers markets on Court Street from Washington Street to the alley. Any business is welcome to have a pop-up shop, but space is limited.

Pizza Palooza LogoPizza Palooza

Bring the whole family to enjoy pizza and a movie on the new East Green on July 14! Attendees can purchase $1 tickets that can be redeemed for a slice of pizza from any vendor, potato chips provided by Ballreich’s Potato Chips, soda, or water provided by Hempy Water. Half of each ticket sold will go toward downtown revitalization. The full slate of pizzerias will be announced soon. During the event, Rusty Vinyl will be playing live at the East Green Amphitheater. A screening of a Disney blockbuster hit will begin at dusk. Attendees are invited to bring their own blankets to enjoy the show. Tiffin Park & Recreation will be providing the movie equipment.

Rock for Life LogoRock for Life

Rock for Life is a non-profit organization formed to celebrate all types of music and benefit Hospice. Rock for Life 2018 will be held August 25. The 2017 event, “Island Party”, was held on August 12 at Pioneer Mill.

Heritage Festival LogoHeritage Festival

Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival is Ohio’s 8th largest festival. The 2018 Festival is happening on Friday, September 14 – Sunday, September 16. The “Living Village” is located at Hedges Boyer Park and you can step back in time with reenactments, activities, music and vendors. The “Downtown Area” has family friendly entertainment including amusement rides, children’s areas, games, food vendors and more.
